Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Signalyze ("the App", "we", "us"), published by DTH Studio, handles information when you use the App. By using Signalyze you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information the App processes

Signalyze is a network-diagnostic tool. The Wi-Fi and network data it analyzes is processed on your device only and is not sent to us or stored on any server we control:

• Wi-Fi & network information — nearby network names (SSID), signal strength, channel, frequency band, security type, and details of your current connection (IP address, gateway, DNS, link speed, MAC/BSSID, connected devices on your local network). This information is read from the Android system, shown to you in the App, and is not transmitted off your device by us.
• Location permission — Android requires the location permission to return Wi-Fi scan results. Signalyze uses this permission solely to read nearby Wi-Fi networks. The App does not collect, store, or share your geographic location.
• No account — the App does not require sign-up and does not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts.

The App does, however, use the third-party services below (advertising, analytics and crash reporting), which collect limited technical and usage data as described.

2. Advertising

Signalyze displays ads to keep the App free. Ads are provided by Start.io (StartApp), a third-party advertising network. To serve ads, the Start.io SDK may collect and process:

• Your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID / GAID)
• Non-personal device and technical information (device model, OS version, coarse/approximate location, network connection type) used for ad delivery and measurement

3. Analytics & crash reporting

Signalyze uses Google Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics), provided by Google LLC, to keep the App stable and understand basic, aggregated usage so we can improve it. These SDKs may collect:

• Crash & diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics) — stack traces, the device model and OS version, and app state at the time of a crash. This is used only to find and fix bugs.
• Usage & device data (Firebase Analytics) — anonymous app-usage events, approximate region, device/OS information and a mobile identifier, used in aggregate to understand feature usage.

We do not upload your Wi-Fi scan results, SSIDs, BSSID/MAC addresses, or the list of devices on your network to these services. This data is handled by Google under its policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy. On devices without Google Play services these features are simply inactive.

4. How information is used

• To provide the App's core features (scanning, signal analysis, security checks, LAN discovery).
• To display and measure advertisements through Start.io.
• To diagnose crashes and improve stability and features (Firebase).

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Your choices

• You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device's Settings → Google → Ads.
• You can limit ad/analytics tracking system-wide via the same Google settings, or by using a device without Google Play services.
• You can revoke the location or nearby-Wi-Fi permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Signalyze → Permissions (some scanning features will stop working).

6. Data retention

Wi-Fi and network data is held only in memory while the App is running and is not persisted to a remote server by us. Advertising, analytics and crash data are retained by Start.io and Google under their respective policies. Any locally cached preferences stay on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App.

7. Children's privacy

Signalyze is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
